18th and 19th sailing trip

On the 18th and 19th of March we (Mrs Bennet's sport science class) went on a sailing trip. On the first day we sailed from island to island and hiked up a mountain. We then played spotlight on an island after swimming. On the second day we had to wake up early and go for a swim in the cold morning, we then went to a different island with a old and broken boat near the shore, and made a raft to swim back in. We then sailed back home afterwards.

I would put my participation at achieved level because I had brought enough gear to last me the two days. On the hike I didn't walk as fast as the others, at first it was because we were walking uphill but then it turned into me just walking by myself and looking at the scenery, from the trees to the birds flitting through them, and eating lunch on a bench. On our first encounter with swimming in the ocean I refused to jump in because I was not confident in swimming that  changed though when I had dropped my towel in the ocean and had to jump in myself to fish it out before it sunk in too far down, because of this incident I had more confidence when swimming with the raft.

Several factors had influenced my participation, the first was my confidence in the water because of this I was afraid of swimming which wasted a lot of my time because we only had a limited time swimming  and it also separated me from the rest of the class. Another factor would be about me personally. I do not like stepping out my comfort zone because I do not like trying new things, this also applies to swimming in the ocean without the beach, I do not like doing things that i do not want to do.

If I was to improve my participation level I would try to do things that are out of comfort zone without over thinking things through so I could see if I enjoy it before I judge it. I would also try to boost my in water confidence so I could do things water based easily or without worry like surfing or sailing again
